Find Your Local Rocketry Club

There are four main clubs across the UK where you can fly rockets safely under the supervision of a qualified Range Safety Officer (RSO) – East Anglian Rocketry Society (EARS), Midlands Rocketry Club (MRC), Fins Over Gwent (FOG) and Scottish Aeronautics & Rocketry Association (SARA). Most clubs hold launch days once a month, and you’ll often find vendors on site selling rocket parts, kits, and motors — perfect for picking up your next project or grabbing supplies on the day.

Before you travel, always check with the club directly. Launch days can be cancelled due to weather conditions or site availability, so a quick look at their website or social media will save you a wasted journey.

East Anglian Rocketry Society (EARS)

A friendly UK rocketry club based in East Anglia, running regular launches for model and high-power rocketry. EARS is known for a welcoming atmosphere, good range access, and a strong focus on safe, well-organised flying for beginners through to experienced flyers.

Midlands Rocketry Club (MRC)

A central-UK club that brings together rocketeers from across the Midlands for organised launch days and community support. MRC is a great option if you’re looking to learn, get advice on builds and motors, and fly with experienced members in a safety-first environment.

Fins Over Gwent (FOG)

Based in South Wales, FOG is a welcoming club for model and high-power rocketry enthusiasts. With regular launch events and a supportive community, FOG offers great opportunities for flyers of all experience levels to build skills, test projects, and connect with fellow rocketeers in the Welsh countryside.

Scottish Aeronautics & Rocketry Association (SARA)

Scotland’s rocketry community, supporting model and high-power rocketry through organised launches and shared expertise. SARA is ideal for flyers in Scotland who want a local club for safe launches, mentoring, and a supportive network of rocketry enthusiasts.
